Viken Arman embarks us, again, on a wonderful journey in his musical universe where he offers us six tracks that weave a realm of dub music and pop chorus, as well as oriental instrumentation influenced myminimal techno.
This release blows a fresh breeze on the French scene, and we are definitely proud to support it! Active through his collective Minimal Trip, as well as the organisation of countless party nights in Paris since a couple of years (Open Space Festival, or the Eclipse nights at the Social Club) We give unconditional support to this music that's been lulling us for many years, this producer's talent is as extraordinary as his passion.
The commitment and honesty he puts into his works owes him to be supported by many producers as we speak. The single 'Renaissance' unites dub sounds with the gentle and smooth vocals of the singer Roya. 'Walk with Nelson' brings a clubesque touch to the EP : a wonderful cocktail mixing a sample of Nelson Mandela with a blaring moog bass. The gorgeous pop ballad 'You're Mine' comes as the icing on the cake, bringing husky vocals and rockabilly guitar licks. Finally, 'Arevis', a techno hymn which will fling you to a chivalrous universe: bombastic.
Amidst the remixers, the danish Uffe, already out on Get Physical and Pets Recordings, has thrown himself onto 'Renaissance' and offers us a brawny and tribal interpretation. Andonian suggests a darker remix : complete success.
Result of the relentless hard work in the studio of our, henceforth, loyal companion on Délicieuse, Renaissance EP is the musical transition initiated by Viken, an EP that promises an exciting future.
